Come practice the healing and helpful skill of natural building! 

We will be co-creating and completing a wood-fired cob sauna, from foundation to living roof, on 9/18 - 9/22. 

On Monday, 9/23, we will have a day-long intensive devoted to installing a radiant earthen floor (made of local clay subsoil, warmed by electric coils inside the cob) on top of our wooden sub-floor in the new EarthWorm Learning Center! (This smooth clay-based floor will warm up the building significantly and may invite lounging, cuddle puddles, bare feet, Yin Yoga, sound baths...because even the floor can be made cozy.)

Uncle Mud and Ember Marantz will be discussing their design plan and process, how they chose and sourced their local materials, how they tested the clay subsoil composition to calculate the ratios & recipes for this particular place and batch of cob, and mostly...we will learn hands-on by doing! 

This 6-day intensive will be jam-packed with so much goodness, including:

~ 3 nourishing meals a day, including yummy local farm-fresh food, + snax 

~ Build an entire sauna (tiny cob house) with a living (mossy) roof

~ (first ever) Sauna & pool party (in our chemical-free copper/silver pool) Saturday night!

~ Work on a radiant (heat-able) earthen floor

~ Movement or Yoga class offered each morning and sometimes in evening

~ Bodywork/massage (with Emily) available/offered for all!

~ Sound baths

~ Comedy improv games

~ Depending on interest and size of our team, may include building or discussing plans for building a cob oven, a bamboo outhouse & outdoor solar shower

We are very flexible when it comes to your timing and contribution, let us know what feels good for you. 

We have a few comfy beds (in our home and in our yurt) that can be reserved ~ if you feel so called, please claim your spot before these beds are filled!
